After getting three times invited for coffee and once for lunch, and a drive over the new highway through the mountains of Northern Albania (with stunning vistas) I arrived to a buzzing Tirana. Not too many sights to explore but it was fun to experience this country that was isolated from the rest of Europe for quite a while.

Something nice to look at while waiting for the next ride in Kukkes, Northern Albania
A view on Mother Theresa Square and the main boulevard through the city. Take a guess which car brand is most popular in Albania...
The central square of Tirana
The Albanian variant of McDonalds
The Albanian variant for KFC: Albanian Friend Chicken!

  1. Wouter,

    What you showed likes SUPER!

IT is much better than a boring Queen’s day, here in a sunny Holland.
