Goreme

After again a few days in Ankara to collect my Iranian visa I hit the road again, hitching easily to Göreme with two trucks. The tours where a bit too touristic for my taste so I hiked some of the beautiful valleys surrounding the town and watched the sun set over the rocks.

The little town is filled with these 'fairy chimneys'; rocks cut out like this over centuries. Nowadays people have build houses and hotels in them.
Hotel build right into the weird rocks. Not mine unfortunately; I was staying at the cheapy 'sleep in a dark hole with too many beds to a room' hostel...
